History
A large C17 threshing barn built onto (or maybe built together with) the c1630 Stable Block, and probably closely contemporary with it. Both buildings appear in the c1680 painting in the house.

Exterior
Timber framed over stone base to the long walls, thin coursed rubble to the gable walls with part red brick where it joins the Stable Block. Roof of corrugated metal sheeting. Box framed with four tiers of square panels. Five bays with each bay 4 X 4 squares of framing. The framing is all in oak with spliced in repairs and replacements. The west gable wall has an opening high in the gable. The east gable shares the wall with the Stable Block. Opposed central doorways to threshing floor. There is currently no surface walling on the framing.

Interior
The principal posts are jowled and have brackets to both the ties and the wall-plate. Raking braces from the principals to the sole plate in the centre of each bay. The threshing floor has low walls on either side. Four principal rafter trusses with ties and raking struts, three tiers of trenched purlins and ridge piece. Apart from recently replaced pieces all the timbers, including secondary rafters are original.

Reason for designation
Listed as a very good example of a timber framed C17 barn which has strong group value with all the historic buildings at Llanvihangel Court.
