Location
Situated some 200m WSW of the Dyffryn Arms inn just S of junction of valley road with road up to Pontfaen church.
History
Road bridge over the river Gwaun, possibly C18. Presumably a stone bridge in the C16 from whence the name, recorded by George Owen as Pont Vaen in early C17. Recorded as Picton Bridge by Edward Llwyd.
Exterior
Road bridge, rubble stone with 2 low round arches, the arches recessed with stone voussoirs. Cutwater both sides carried up to just below parapet coping. Parapet has edge on stone coping on W and flat coping on E, all much renewed. NE abutment also rebuilt.
Reason for designation
Included as a two-arch bridge of well-preserved character, also with landscape value in the Gwaun valley.
