History
Jones family watchmakers are recorded in Llandysul for much of C19.
Exterior
Late C19 house and shop, stucco fronted with slate roof and modern brick end stacks. 2-storey 3-window range of 4-pane sashes. Ground floor has fine full-width late C19 jeweller's shopfront of 5 lights with door to right. Lights and doorway have flattened arched heads, doorway is slightly wider with overlight and recessed double doors. Three slim piers with brackets and fascia of glass lettered in gold 'Watchmaker E Davies Jeweller'. Behind overlight is fixed clock with 'John E Jones Watchmaker, Llandysul' on dial.
Interior
Two iron columns within shop window, stamped D Davies, Bridgend.
Reason for designation
Included for fine shopfront, the best of a number of quality in Llandysul, but generally rare in W Wales.
