Location
At the entrance to the village-centre site of the former Plâs. About 30m west of Llandybie bridge, at south side of street.
History
The Plâs was reported by the Royal Commission as a house of the late C16; it was demolished in the 1960s. The plain stone spheres of the entrance gateway survive; perhaps C18. The piers upon which they stand have been rebuilt and the carriageway between them widened.
Exterior
Stone spheres, about 0.6m diameter, on piers of axe-dressed masonry.
Reason for designation
Listed as Georgian or earlier gateway ornaments.
