History
Mid C20 telephone kiosk of the K6 type, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott for the GPO in 1936. This one made before 1953.
Exterior
Telephone kiosk, red-painted cast-iron with wooden door. Square plan, fixed glazing on two sides and matching glazing in door on third side, horizontal galzing bars and marginal bars. Blank rear. Above, each side are translucent lettered panels under shallow Soaneian square dome, with George VI crown in each lunette.
Reason for designation
Included for prominent siting in the centre of an attractive small village.
