Location
Situated by Afon Nyfer and approached by track running N off A 487 some 600 m E of Temple Bar crossroads.
Exterior
Late C18 or early C19 cottage in rubble stone with slate roof and stone end stacks, the S end stack large and of ashlar. Centre door and 4-pane sash each side, with slate sills. Lean-to on N end, outshut rear and one S end loft window.
Interior
Massive timber fireplace lintel at N end, big chamfered and stopped ceiling beam just in from fireplace, one other large rough beam and chamfered beam in S end wall. Small stairs by fireplace.
Reason for designation
A good example of single storey traditional house of regional type.
