Situated prominently on S slope of Garn Fawr, on W side of lane from Harmony to Strumble Head.
History
Cottage occupied from 1963 by painter and stained-glass artist John Piper.
Exterior
Earlier C19 cottage in whitewashed rubble stone with grouted slate roof and stone end wall stacks, larger to W. Single-storey with centre glazed C20 door and renewed 6-pane sash each side. Loft light in E end wall. Added rear lean-to. Interior altered.
Front court enclosed by stone and earth banks.
Reason for designation
Included as prominent and little altered example of a single-storey cottage in Pencaer, and for historical association with John Piper.
