Earlier C19 cottage, restored later C20.
Exterior
Rubble stone with slate roof and stone end stacks, larger to E. Single-storey with centre C20 glazed door in slate lean-to stone porch between 6-pane sashes with stone voussoir heads and slate sills, all renewed. Slightly projecting added section to left with shallower roof pitch and similar front wall 6-pane sash.
Front yard enclosed by curving rough stone and earth bank.

Interior altered.
Reason for designation
Renovated from ruin in C20 as studio by the artist John Piper. Included in list for group value and historic interest with Garn Fawr cottage.
