Situated on right side of road to Strumble Head, opposite drive to Llanwnwr.
Exterior
Earlier C19 single-storey cottage in colourwashed rubble stone with W end stone stack and larger stone stack on original E end and asbestos sheet roof. Small original cottage has tiny fire-window to left, ledged door and large casement window to right, on N front. C20 E end addition to same roof-height, rendered with two C20 windows. W end wall has small loft light. Rear S wall has large C20 window. Benchmark on NE corner.
Large E end chimneybreast with timber lintel, W end croglofft.
Reason for designation
Included as good example, despite E addition, of small croglofft cottage. Marked on 1845 as part of the Llanwnwr farm which was owned by John James of Trenewydd. Called Tynewydd on 1891 OS.
