Location
Situated on the steep E slope of the Nant valley, just below the road and Tanygraig cottage.
History
Engine house chimney to the former Nant lead-mine, situated some 150m above the engine-house, built 1841, and presumably connected to it. The mine was called the Westminster or Great Westminster mine in the C19.
Exterior
Lead-mine chimney, coursed limestone, circular, some 13m high. Tapering profile, small flue opening to W side.
Reason for designation
Included with the engine-house below as rare surviving structures of the once important local lead mines.
