Telephone call box of K6 type designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott for the GPO in 1936, this one made before 1953.
Exterior
Telephone call box, red-painted cast-iron kiosk, square plan with Soaneian domed top, the lunettes each side with embossed George VI crown over translucent lettered panels marked ''Telephone''. Sides and front door have glazing in horizontal panes with marginal panes. Rear is blank, makers mark not visible.

Included for group value with Nos 17-19 Market St above and listed buildings opposite.
