The list description is not intended to be a complete inventory of what is listed: it is principally intended to aid identification. By law, the definition of a listed building includes the entire building (i) and any structure or object that is fixed to the said building and ancillary to it and (ii) any other structure or object that forms part of the land and has done so since before 1 July 1948, and was within the curtilage of the building, and ancillary to it, on the date on which said building was first included in the list, or on 1 January 1969, whichever was later.

Location
Situated opposite Delfryn, on lane from Cippyn running N. No longer in domestic use. In poor state of preservation at time of survey (1992).
History
A building is marked on 1838 Tithe Map on site, but not identified as a house. The land was part of Bryntirion Farm.
Exterior
Earlier C19 single storey cottage in rubble stone with corrugated iron roof and stone end stacks, larger to right. Double fronted with 9-pane casement each side of door, all with painted sandstone voussoirs. Door missing. Slate sills to windows. Roofless outbuilding to right. Outshut rear. Large stone fireplace at W end with timber lintel. Formerly with loft to E end.
Reason for designation
Included as a scarce example of a largely unaltered single-storey vernacular cottage in the area.
