History
Early C17 origins.
Exterior
Two storey gable end wall to street with roughcast cladding and slate gabled roof with a brick stack on both front and rear gable ends. On ground floor, from right hand, doorway with ledged door before entrances to shop and first floor office, and wide canted shop window. On first floor, two widely spaced 4-pane sash windows. Long C18 to C19 rear range with wings with white washed stone rubble walls with roofs mainly with slate cladding but partly with pantile cladding on SE Side.
Interior
Inside, ground floor shop with two massive ceiling beams and, to rear, stone vaulted chamber; original roof trusses thought to remain but were not inspected.
Reason for designation
For surviving early structure and group value with adjacent listed buildings in High Street.
