Nos 5-9 Bute Crescent date from c. 1840; amongst the earliest domestic buildings in Butetown.
Exterior
Three storeys over basement. Cornice and first floor band course. Two window stucco front, rusticated on ground floor. Upper floors have sash windows, horned, with upper sashes small pane. Second floor windows have lost their architraves. First floor windows have lost architraves but retain cornices. Panelled entrance door (modern) with rectangular fanlight and cornice above. Basement area has cast iron railings.

Included for group value with other buildings in Crescent.
