History
Dated 1910 in centre of parapet. By Ivor Jones, architect, of Cardiff.
Exterior
Portland stone front of three storeys, five bays. Ends with giant banded pilaster strips. Parapet with date '1910' in laurel garland on stepped central pediment. Modillion cornice. Square headed windows on first and second floors , those on second floor with moulded surrounds with broad keystones above and sills supported on lion-headed brackets. First floor windows with cornices with recessed central sections, and banded surrounds which continue between windows. On ground floor, banded rustication, cornice supported by large volute brackets. Central rectangular entrance doorway, with very large volute keystone, flanked by modern inserted shopfronts each between engaged banded quarter columns with small Roman Doric capitals.
