Late 1930’s monument erected over grave of ‘Swansea Jack’, retriever dog said to have saved 27 human and 2 canine lives from drowning in 1930’s.

Granite base with blocks to ends supporting further granite slab with inscription recording Swansea Jack’s exploits. Bronze relief head of Swansea Jack to L. Signed J Cecil Jones, Swansea.
Reason for designation
Included for historic interest of local canine hero.
