Facing the road, raised up on a terrace, with a coped and railed retaining wall. A late C17/early C18 2-storey house of sandstone rubble, under a medium-pitched slate roof with plain eaves. Later brick end-stacks, that to the E shared with No. 41. Tile-coped gables. 2 window front with plain entrance and C20 door, approached by 3 flights of stone steps in dog-leg arrangement. C19 rendered, canted bay window to L of door with 2 recessed 12-pane sash windows. Large near-flush 6-pane fixed window to R with timber lintel. Modern 2-light casement windows to first floor.
Deep brick-vaulted cellar with brick floor and steep stone steps.
