Part of the 1902-7 formal gardens by F Inigo Thomas for J V Colby.
Exterior
1902-7 balustraded curved-ended terrace wall, rubble-stone high terrace with slate balustrade, turned balusters, moulded plinth and rail, and square piers. Four sections to broad semi-circular W end, short straight length each side, and from corners coped rubble stone returns to N court and to steps down to S terrace.
Reason for designation
Group value with house and sundial on W lawn, as part of an outstanding Edwardian formal garden.
