Early C20 stone sundial, probably part of the garden design by F Inigo Thomas for J V Colby to enhance the setting of the house, remodelled 1902-7.
Exterior
Early C20 ashlar baluster sundial on broad octagonal ashlar platform. Vase stem, gadrooned above, octagonal shaft and cornice. Inset brass dial inscribed 'Post tenebras lux 1723'.
Reason for designation
Included for group value as part of an outstanding Edwardian formal garden.
