History
Range of farm buildings marked on 1843 Tithe Map but remodelled in later C19 for the Saunders-Davies family. Stonework suggests several phases with the main front of left range extensively remodelled, but the tower possibly earlier C19, and the lower end added to the tower but pre the later C19 alterations. A long rear wing crosses the throughway to the farmhouse and mansion.

Exterior
C19 farm-range of several phases, probably early, mid and later C19, rubble stone with slate roofs. Two-storey ranges to the court stepped down slope. To left: Big four-bay range with later C19 cut stone surounds and triangular heads, 9-pane windows to upper floor, blocked door, tow doors and window below, there doors ledged and pierced for ventilation. N end has outside steps to loft door and apex roundel. Rear shows sign of blocked earlier openings within an added deep lean-to open shed on timber posts, three later C19 triangular-headed upper windows. To centre: A rubble stone low tower with dove-shelf underpyramid roof with iron vane. Continuous stonework with left range, one triangular-headed ground floor window. To rear the roof of the upper range is carried along the SE hip under dove-shelf and one first floor sash-window. S side has dove-shelf and wondow. Interior has dove shelves in the upper part, and hewn beams below. Lower range: To right is added, broader with roof hipped to S, outside steps in front of tower to loft door diagonally set in short return, and two brick-headed 9 pane sashes to first floor facing yard, door to ground floor left with stone voussoirs. Rear is of squared stone with two similar upper windows and pair of big coach-entries with depressed arches, cut-stone voussoirs and ledged doors. Loft interior has 6-bay roof with stapled collar trusses with angle struts. Rear range: Runs E from rear junction of two main front ranges, and roof oversails throughway, the opening damaged by widening. To right is coach-house with projecting cut stone work and depressed arched entry. Plain rubble stone to right, window with stone voussoirs. Two lower ranges beyond, behind farmhouse, one with door and window, the other with door, window and door.
