Exterior
Part of the original workhouse complex of 1837, and probably used as a laundry from the outset. Whitewashed roughly coursed and squared stone with slate roofs, with the remains of 2 axial stacks. A high single storeyed range, with 2-storeyed cross wing to the S. 2 windows and 2 doors, stepped in height to accommodate to the slope of the site. Doorway and window alongside it in the upper storey of the gabled cross-range, accessed from the higher ground at the S of the site.
