Exterior
Second-quarter C19 decorative wrought iron single gate on plain iron posts; 2 tiers of vertical bars, the lower ones with scrolled spear heads, the upper part with applied V (for Sir Robert Williames Vaughan of Nannau, Bart). Miniature segmental overthrow with scrolled decoration. Plain spear-headed railings to L and R surmounting a dwarf rubble wall, terminating in plain rubble piers of 2 sections, narrower at top.
Reason for designation
Included for group value with the Coed-y-Moch lodge and forecourt walls and for associations with the Nannau estate.
