The barn stands within the group of farm buildings; if forms an L-shape with the listed cowshed and has a later single-storey stone shed against its N end.

Exterior
C16/17 barn. Walls mostly rebuilt in stone, neatly squared; an area on the W is of stone below corrugated-metal cladding. Roof of corrugated iron.
Interior
Corrugated iron on W conceals timber-framing, 2 heights square panels remain, replaced at base with stone, lacks wattle & daub; pair posts flanking entrance have square-cut jowls. Roof 5 bays, N one truncated, with tiebeam, collar & 3 tiers
heavy purlins.
Reason for designation
Important as an early barn of C16/17 date and included for group value with Lower
Maestorglwydd Farmhouse.
