Picturesquely sited across small lake; reached from lane near Dderw Bridge.
History
Farmhouse of two periods, C17 and late C19.
Exterior
C19 front faces S. Stone with slate roof, yellow brick dressings. One and a half storeys, end chimneys (yellow brick); 3 gabled dormers with horned 16-pane sashes. Central doorway with gabled hood, 16-pane sash window to each side.
To rear, attached C17 house. Old slate roof; square stone chimney to end which attaches with C19 house; modern openings to S side; two windows to N side, L of these hardwood with ovolo mouldings.
Interior
Ground floor has 2 rooms with longitudinal ovolo moulded beams, partition between covered at ground floor level, fireplace beam ovolo moulded. Upper floor has exposed timber-framed partition with raking struts, wattle and daub panels.
Reason for designation
Listed for special interest of C17 block.
