History: The statue is inscribed with the information that it was moved from Claremont, Surrey (a home of the Clive family) to Powis in 1931. It is not signed or dated, but is thought to be C18.
Description: A lead peacock with fanned-out tail, on a tall stone plinth with moulded panels.
A fine example of lead-work and a significant C20 contribution to the gardens at Powis.
