Exterior
C18. Rectangular, sandstone upright with rounded top. A cast iron plate also with rounded head is fixed to the front face. It is painted white and has a rounded, black painted rim. The stonework above is also painted white. There is an inscribed bench mark below it. The plate displays letters in relief and in capitals, which read: Miles From MT,Gomery 31/2 BPS, Castle. 5

Listed as a well preserved milestone characteristic of turnpike roads. Association with other milestones and a toll house along the B4385.
