Situated on W side of B4337 opposite Glanllyn Lodge, 0.8km SW of Temple Bar.
History
Mid/late C19 cast-iron milepost made by the Eagle Foundry, Aberystwyth. This section of road was managed by the Aberystwyth Turnpike Trust, which was set up in 1770.
Exterior
Cast-iron milepost with two-faced angled front, bevelled to sloping top. Left side reads:
"Temple Bar 1 Mile". Right side reads: "Llanybyther 7 Miles".
Base signed:
"Eagle Foundry Co., Aberystwyth".
Reason for designation
Listed for historic interest as a survival of early road transport history.
