Mid/late C19 cast-iron milepost made by the Eagle Foundry, Aberystwyth. This section of road was managed by the Aberystwyth Turnpike Trust, which was set up in 1770.  

Exterior
Cast-iron milepost with two-faced angled front, bevelled to sloping top. Left side reads: "Temple Bar 1 Mile". Right side reads: "Llanybyther 7 Miles". Base signed: "Eagle Foundry Co., Aberystwyth".
