Situated some 300m NE of Ffostrasol shop, on W side of road.
History
Mid C19 cast-iron milestone on Llandysul to New Quay turnpike road. Mileposts on this road were made by the Eagle Foundry, Aberystwyth (makers plaque buried here).
Exterior
Painted cast-iron triangular-plan milepost, hollow, with two faces, one reading NEW QUAY 9 MILES, the other LLANDYSSUL 6 MILES. Chamfered triangular sloping top and raised rolled border.
Reason for designation
Listed as one of a series of similar mileposts of historic interest on A 486.
