Located in the road verge immediately opposite the driveway and lodge to Plâs Dinam, approximately 1km N of the village centre.
History
The Newtown to Llanidloes road was turnpiked in 1769 as the First District under the Montgomery Turnpike Acts. The mile marker stones were erected subsequent to this.
Exterior
A rectangular pillar of gritstone, approximately 0.9m high, inscribed on the face 7/NEWT/LLANI/6 1/2 .
Reason for designation
Included as one of the few surviving milestones illustrative of the road management system initiated in the C18.
