One of two pairs of earlier C19 houses, in late Georgian style. Marked on 1844 Tithe Map, as owned by Thomas Hughes of Castell-du and occupied by Jacob Evans and others.

Reason for designation
Listed with numbers 1 and 2 as an unusually formally-planned group, also including Llanwnnen Post Office and Llanwnnen Church.  

Group Description
Nos 4 and 5 Sycamore Terrace Roughcast with slate roof and three roughcast stacks. Each house is double-fronted with two 9-pane upper windows and two 12-pane lower windows and centre door. Windows are single frame tilting. Stucco channelled angle strips and shouldered door-surrounds with keystone. Both have C20 doors.
