Tomb of John Phillips, died 1852, erected then or soon after.
Exterior
Chest tomb of John Phillips died 1852. Pinkish sandstone panels with limestone base and cap. In the eighteenth century style. Base of two steps, corner balusters (one damaged) of Jacobean type. Inscriptions to various members of the Phillips family. Top with central ridge and roll moulded edge.
Reason for designation
Included for group value with the Tabernacle Baptist Church, and as a good example of a mid C19 century chest tomb of unusual quality for a Baptist cemetery.
