Situated to the E of the A541; set back form the road with small front gardens bounded by low brick wall.
History
Mid-late C19 terrace of workers' housing (shown on 1st edition Ordnance Survey map). Possibly once associated with the Hartsheath Estate.
Reason for designation
Listed as a rare and well-preserved example of a terrace of C19 workers' housing.
Group Description
Nos 6 to 15 Alyn Terrace, Pontblyddyn
Terrace of 10 houses, 2-storey red brick Flemish bond, with Welsh slate roof, brick stacks. Front, street elevation: each house has similar boarded wooden door and 1 similar 4-light casement window to ground and first floor except central pair which have 2 similar 4-light windows to each storey. Rear elevation: various 2-storey brick outriggers.
All the houses are bounded on the street elevation by small front gardens with low brick walls with moulded brick copings, and wooden-bar gates.
