Location
Located at the centre of the hamlet of Eglwyseg, carrying the minor road to Llangollen over the River Eglwyseg.
History
Probably C18 or early C19 in origin, replacing a ford.
Exterior
Built of local carboniferous limestone. A hump-back bridge formed by a semicircular arched tunnel faced by rough voussoirs, and a rough block coping terminating in a large boulder at the SE side. The parapet and spandrels are splayed on plan and descend to die away into the ground.
Reason for designation
Included as an unaltered traditional country bridge.
