Location
Located some 500m E of the Pont Garreg-Hylldrem on the N side of the Afon Maesgwm; accessed across a field NE of the road, built into a revetted bank.
Exterior
Early limekiln, probably late C18 or early C19. Of unmortered boulder construction, some 3m high and 3.5m square, with rectangular tapering eyes to the E and W sides. Flat top with slab coping and large central crucible; this is conical in shape and is lined with small rough-dressed rubble blocks.
Reason for designation
Listed for its special industrial/archaeological interest as a well-preserved early limekiln.
