History
War Memorial of 1924 designed by Glendinning Moxham FRIBA, of Swansea.
Exterior
White marble statue of soldier with reversed rifle on large Portland stone pedestal, the whole some 6.5m (20') high. Pedestal is ornate with moulded plinth under raised broad band of Greek key ornament, with moulding above and below. Shaft is plain but for carved laurel wreath on front over affixed name and date plaques, and is capped by a similar broad raised band of Greek-key ornament.
Contemporary railed enclosure with upper finials and side gates.
Reason for designation
Listed as a handsome and prominent war memorial.
