The milestone is set against a wall at the rounded corner between the Holyhead Road and Castle Road, opposite the church.
History
The plate states it was placed in position by Wrexham District Council in 1894. The stone may be earlier and one of the various earlier series of turnpike milestones on the Holyhead Road.
Exterior
A silicaceous stone with a rounded top and bearing a cast iron plate inscribed with raised lettering reading WREXHAM DISTRICT 1894 DCC, and below:

Reason for designation
Included as a milestone of interest as it bears a plate of late C19 date giving the mileage in miles and furlongs.
