History
Tombs are close-set and overgrown with ivy with only one inscription legible, to May Williams of Coity Mawr died 1855. Coity Mawr is a major country house remodelled early C19 on the hillside near Cwm Cwy.  

Exterior
The 4 close-set chest tombs are very similar, comprising tooled slabs, rusticated tooled stone chests, battered tooled plinths. Spear railings with urned stanchions on a tooled stone plinth form the rectangular enclosure.

Reason for designation
Included as an interesting group of mid C19 family tombs and for group value with the church of St Meugan, the churchyard cross and other listed churchyard monuments.
