Situated on S side of A40 set into parapet of rebuilt small bridge in Halfway village.
History
Boundary plaque probably of early C19 set into bridge that formerly marked the boundary between Carmarthen and Brecon counties.
Exterior
Stone plaque inset into parapet. Two opposed pointing hands incised at top. Underneath are two inscriptions. To left: 'Brecknock Parish Shire (sic) Parish of Llywel MANOR OF BRECON'. To right: 'Carmarthen Shire Parish of Myddfe'.
Reason for designation
Included as a relatively rare surviving county boundary stone.
