Included, notwithstanding alterations, as part of a terrace of simple village vernacular cottages and for group value with Highgate and other properties at the centre of the village.

Nos 1-4, Tai Newyddion
Row of cottages built in the late C18 or early C19, of rubble stonework with slated roofs, perhaps originally conceived as two pairs of two with shared raised dormer windows to the upper floor. Each cottage occupies a single bay, with 16-pane sash windows to each floor and with a lateral door. The stacks stand on the party walls. Raised dormers with sloping roofs.
