Location
Bridge crossing the River Alun. Located N of the railway bridge at Croes Cwtta. The lane leads N towards Ewenny, with Castle-upon-Alun to the W and Wick to the SE. On the boundary with Ewenny community.
History
Probably C18. Restored in 1996.
Exterior
Two-span bridge with slightly ramped deck. Two small round arches with voussoirs, that to the S being smaller. The E side of the latter is very small with an almost flat arch. Constructed of coursed grey masonry with string course, end piers, and parapets with saddleback copings. The E side has a triangular cutwater. The date 1896 is engraved in the stonework and concrete pavement of the deck.
Reason for designation
Listed as a well preserved C18 bridge.
