Location
Roadbridge spanning a tributary of the Afon Aled; the road is a minor country road leading N off the B5382, c200m N of Pont Rhydyrarian, at the S end of Bryn Rhydarian.
History
Late C18 or early C19 roadbridge, possibly the work of David Lewis, mason.
Exterior
Roadbridge, built of local rubble masonry; a single wide segmental span over the river, the stonework of the arch slightly recessed from the main wall of the bridge, with dripcourse and projecting springing course stones. The walls of the parapets stand to a height of c1m above the road level, with slab coping to W and roughly embattled coping to E.
Reason for designation
Included as a good example of a late C18 roadbridge.
