Located on the south side of the A4086 at Pont-rug at its junction with the road to Caeathro; the direction indicator is set in a rubblestone boundary wall.
History
Difficult to date exactly but probably mid- to late C19.
Exterior
Direction indicator. Slate-stone narrow rectangular plaque set into rubblestone boundary wall inscribed "MILES" to right with below to left "TO CAEATHRAW 11/2/ TO BONTNEWYDD 3"; incised hand to right with pointing fingers.
Reason for designation
Included as an unusual example of a slate direction indicator.
