Situated on hillside to W of Afon Ydw, approached by curving drive some 300m W of Pont Cilgwyn.
History
Earlier C19 small country house built probably in 1830s for Lewis Lewis. Marked on 1839 Tithe Map as owned by Lewis Lewis, occupied by John Williams with 67 acres (27.14 hectares). Gravestones in churchyard to Lewis Lewis 1817-84, his sons John Thomas Lewis 1856-75, Lewis Price Lewis 1857-1925 and David W Price Lewis 1899-1971. Iron gates on drive are said to come from Llwynywormwood.
Exterior
House, colourwashed roughcast with hipped slate roofs and rendered end stacks. L-plan. Two-storey, three-window front of 12-pane hornless sashes with slate sills. Moulded timber eaves cornice with paired brackets to front and right elevations. Panelled centre door in large trellis porch with delicate detail, mostly latticed, and flat roof. Rear wall has small square window each floor to left and rear wing to right. Wing has broad arched ground floor window to left with Gothick glazing bars, small square window to first floor. End wall has 9-pane sash under eaves to right and large roughcast chimney, the slates continued across base of stack. S elevation has 2x12-pane hornless sashes and 6-panelled door in flat lead roofed portico with simple columns and square responds.

Reason for designation
Included as a smaller country house in late Georgian manner, retaining fine original detail and with well-detailed trellis porch.
