Entrance Gateway at Faendre Hall

Fronting the lane and adjacent to the lodge, forming the entrance to a curved drive to the house.
History
Probably contemporary with house of 1850.
Exterior
Gateway comprises two slender piers of large ashlar blocks with steeply pitched gabled stone-tiled tops. Attached are double wrought iron gates of unequal width with fleur de lys finials. A curved snecked rubble wall with flat coping extends either side.
Reason for designation
Listed as an integral element of the park and for group value with other items at Faendre and especially the Lodge which adjoins.
