Full Report for Listed Buildings

Group Description
Croes-bleddyn Cottages
Random limestone rubble with stone slate roof. Mirrored pair of one-and-a-half storey cottages in the Cotswold style typical of Dawber. Doors flank projecting gabled bays each with a 3-light window on either floor, 8 panes flank 16 below, 6 + 6 + 6 above. These are replacement plastic units in elliptical stone heads, although superficially similar in appearance the units of the two houses differ in detail. The gables meet in the centre between the cottages with a downpipe and a tall stack behind. The rear elevation shows some changes, Both houses have an attic dormer and the original tall kitchen stacks.
