Location
Located 1.5 km ENE of the church of St Machraeth, on the S side of a minor road, near Tyn-y-maen Chapel. The range is immediately S of the farmhouse.
History
Built probably late C18 or early C19; shown on the First Edition OS map, 1887-8.
Exterior
Single-storey 4-bay agricultural range. Uncoursed rubble walls, gabled roof of corrugated-iron. blocked pitching hole to L gable. Four modern narrow boarded doors with heavy timber lintels, those over the 3 doors to the L being strongly curved. The central two doorways may have been narrowed from original wide doors, possibly for carts.
Interior
The interior was not inspected at the time of the survey.
Reason for designation
Listed as a late C18 or early C19 agricultural range, which forms part of the coherent farmstead group at Tyn-y-maen, together with the adjacent farmhouse and nearby corn barn range.
