Exterior
A freestone obelisk on a stepped granite base and stepped rock-faced plinth. The lower step of the base has a crossed sword and spear in relief. Above it is a roll call in raised black letters. The obelisk has a dedicatory inscription and wreath in relief. Above the base, the obelisk has a relief panel depicting a masted ship and serpent.
Reason for designation
Listed for social historical interest and as a well-detailed memorial in a prominent location.
