Location
300m south of West Lodge to Nantclwyd Hall, at east side of A494.
History
A roadside milestone with raised lettering on a cast-iron plate, the style suggesting early C19 date.
The stone stands on the west side of the former line of the road, but has been turned 180 degrees to face the new road, on the east side of which it is now found (not as shown on the current Ordnance Survey).
Exterior
A block of local limestone about 0.4 m wide and 0.2 m deep, standing about 0.6 m high. The top is rounded and the front is flat. It carries a cast-iron plate with the words 'CORWEN / 7 M / RUTHIN / 5 M'.
Reason for designation
Listed as a well-preserved milestone complete with its cast-iron plate.
