Ornamental bird-bath, probably of c1913 and by John Coates Carter, designed as a pair to sundial in SW corner of garden.
Exterior
Bird bath set on a massive square rough stone block. Terracotta octagonal base with pedestal type block above in single block of stone or cast imitation stone. Square base with ogee-moulded broaches to rounded fat shaft with square top. Small bowl indented in flat top.
Reason for designation
Included as a decorative garden feature designed by J Coates Carter, in his distinctive Arts and Crafts style.
