Portmeirion was designed and laid out by the celebrated architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis (1883-1978) following his purchase of the estate, then called Aber Iâ, in 1926. The village evolved over several decades and was still being added to in the 1970s.
Erected in 1971 and associated with the Cliff House annex, designed in 1970.
Exterior
Low decorative balustrading, consisting of sections of turned reconstituted stone baluster with rendered piers acting as divisions; moulded capping. Adjoining the Cliff House Annex to the N is a section of rendered screen wall with three round-arched openings and similar balustrades. A short section of balustrading defines a terrace immediately to the N of the house and similarly defines a larger cliff-top terrace to the S.

Listed as one of a number of buildings and structures erected by the eminent architect and conservationist Sir Clough Williams-Ellis for his visionary Portmeirion villiage.
